Customer Support Specialist

Location: Boston; Job type: full time

The support team is the first line of response when our customers reach out, and we’ve established a reputation for being prompt, friendly, and thorough. It is the face of the company to customers with questions or problems, and it keeps the management and engineering teams informed of any trends or urgent issues. Do you have the same passion for delighting customers that we do? Then we want you!

We see your role as

  • Responding to the customer in a timely, friendly and informative way.
  • Reporting problems and feature requests to the appropriate engineering team.
  • Helping the customer achieve their goals by thoroughly understanding their issue.
  • When appropriate, investigating issues using CAD tools.
  • Periodically telling management team about how our customers are doing.

We expect you to have

  • Mechanical engineering background (Degree in Mech Eng or similar).
  • Some experience in customer service (retail, food service, call center, etc).
  • Some experience solving computer and software issues.
  • Has strong writing skills and professional and considerate voice.
  • Commitment to grow with an exciting company!

We’d love it if you also have

  • Experience with 3D printing, or a strong interest in the technology of additive manufacturing.
  • Prior job experience in a software support position.
  • Computer programming familiarity (C#, JavaScript, Ruby on Rails, Angular).
  • Familiarity with more than one of the following CAD systems: SolidWorks, Creo/ProE, Inventor, AutoCAD, SolidEdge.
