Executive Lounge Concept / Gee

Gee has designed an executive lounge (SolidWorks 2011/STEP) which unfolds from the form of an onion. Must admit, this is just something I never thought to do, but I am sure you will agree, he has made a stunning job of it. Now, how do I swing this idea past the wife? Mmmm, would look great in the garden, dear? ...and I could always use that spare hydraulic pump in the garage!

10 Interesting CAD Models from Last Week

Wow, another week has flown by and with it we have a whole slew of wonderful models from the GrabCAD community. There have been a lot of cool ideas for the Saare Yacht competition (that ends in two days!) But today we look at some other models you've been busy creating.

We'll start off this series with a blast. This fancy Cannon model (IronCAD/STEP) just makes you want to line a few up, load some powder and shoot yourself into the weekend, am I right? Emil Rindell created this fine example of ancient warfare as inspiration from a Kremlin Tsar Cannon and modeled it all in under 4 hours.
