Some of the newer GrabCADrs might not be aware of our Request page. Need a part modelled? Need a CAD file in a different format. Or perhaps you have some time on your hands and feel like giving back? Perhaps you know where you can find that file another GrabCAD Engineer was looking for. It's all about helping each other - that's exactly why we have the Requests page. It's also perfect for a beginner with any CAD software to practice their chops, share their work and count on some feedback from fellow GrabCADrs. Here are a few of the best requests we've seen fulfilled recently....
Check out this ongoing project by @BEZ, modelled in Solidworks as his 'first concept'. This was done in request for a machine "that can make copies of keys." by Behkli. And in one evening, @BEZ downloaded all of the right parts (hat-tip to Xaros for the key) modelled and delivered what you see here. Nicely done @BEZ!
This is another request answered here by @BEZ for a Quick Return Mechanism. Giorgio also jumped in and submitted this model as well. Fahim Mohiuddin is a lucky GrabCADr to have not one, but two models to choose from. We hope he managed to use them to finish his project on-time.
This here is a fantastic model for a Double Valve by high-profile GrabCADr Tony. Can't find the original request - but this is a solid model. Thanks a lot Tony!
Annette & Bendtner has been really active on GrabCAD. And being an active user sometimes means doing the smallest of things. Ceren put out a request for a Torque Neutralization Arm - and Annette & Bendtner kindly modelled and shared the needed part.
Here's another response from Annette & Bendtner - a shaft housing for a motor, asked by new GrabCADr Eleanore. Nice job Annette - really well done.
Nothing beats this design, am I right? This eggbeater was created by Neelu Ravi in response to John Rose's request for one. I wonder what he needed one for? Where's the CAD-cake?
