Couple of weeks ago Apple launched a web page with CAD drawings for iPods, iPad and iPhone. Geek heaven, right? Judging by the response of the internetosphere tons of designers, CAD engineers etc found it interesting enough (check out these cool overlays of the drawings vs. actual iPhone photos).
Well, we're not satisfied with just drawings, we wanted the actual 3D CAD models. Couple of hours and 3 liters of Coke later we have them. Turns out that the original drawings weren't 100% accurate, small details missing etc. Anyhoo, check back in a week if check out the CAD models of iPhone 4G, different iPods and iPad. Might come handy for everyone trying to build something for iPad, iPhone and iPod - cases, bumpers, sleeves etc.
