500 Group is pleased to work together again with the GrabCAD community. Their newest design challenge tasks you with creating the dash of their upcoming supercar. They provide you with the PSD layout and you get the chance to work with them in the future.
The dash is a monitor and it provides the opportunity to create 3D content, which is where the GrabCAD community expertise will be so valuable. Let's show them what we can do! Top prize will grab $800 USD and a chance to work with the 500 group team in the future. Second prize is $500 USD and some swag, including a coveted GrabCAD shirt. Third takes home $300 USD and GrabCAD merchandise. Fourth, fifth, and sixth places receive GrabCAD shirts and mugs so they can wear their spoils wherever they go.
What do they want you to do?
1. Make it immersive. Create a 3D ‘holographic’ experience with a sense of layers, depth, and 3D elements.
2. Less is more. Create the simplest, purest functional dash possible.
3. Make it functional. Use color and animation to convey useful, operational information in the dash.
