We aren't the only place in the great wide world of the Internet to find design challenges. If you care to flex your CAD muscles, make something that people will see, appreciate and get them to give you a call to say "That's amazing work!" check out these design challenges below. The winning work will be presented on October 19-23rd at the 3D Print Show in London. If you're around the area, Lauri will be making a presentation as well, time TBA.
Ultimaker Design Competition
Netherlands-based Ultimaker wants you to create a office desk item. Something to make your friends and colleagues laugh, actually organizes your desk or maybe makes your cubicle that much cooler. Whatever you choose to make, it has to be manufactured by Ultimaker's FDM 3D Printer and include a short 100 word explaination of your design process. You may enter up to three designs. The prizes? Your very own Ultimaker,'an exclusive award' and tickets to the 3D Print Show. Here's a video below demonstrating the Ultimaker and click here for a few design tips (for the Makerbot, but essentially the same rules apply).
Contest ends September 7th.
