Our Business Development Manager, Andrew DiVincenzo, invites all GrabCADrs using private projects to share their stories. Big manufacturer? Small workshop? Newly graduated Engineer? Own your own three-person design firm? It doesn't matter - we'd love to hear your tales.
This is what Andrew had to say,
"Yesterday I talked to a contractor who was working with a company in Iran that hired him to manage the construction of a new industrial plant. Part of his duty was to hire a manufacturing company to build his client a pallet conveyor system...you can imagine the challenges he was faced with managing that project. He frequently checked in with his manufacture and would receive screenshots of the design, since he didn't have the software to view the models. After shuffling through pdf drawings and phone calls with his client in Iran he would then write down feedback and design changes on a spreadsheet to email back to his customer...this was a daunting task."
"Luckily now he is using a private project to quickly check the status of the system design by opening the model in his browser and he can easily convey clear feedback from his client to that designer by pinning comments and sketches right on the model so they can iterate faster....that's one happy customer!"
