We talk about 3D printing quite a bit here at GrabCAD, including hosting some exciting Challenges and writing about the topic in Hardi’s book. But it’s a big topic with a lot going on, so we thought we’d draw your attention to the comprehensive overview that Develop3D just published.
3D printing has certainly had a lot of hype, and the article actually covers “Hype vs Reality” at one point. In addition there are some interesting real-world applications covered. BAE Aerospace is 3D printing (in metal) components for aircraft (similar to the Challenge we did with GE Aviation last year). There are also overviews of 3D printers, resins, and tools to prepare your model for 3D printing.
If you’re into 3D printing, this review is for you.
