Private Messaging on GrabCAD!
Engineers can now use private messages to communicate with each other right on GrabCAD. The possibilities are endless.
That little envelop sewn in between your name and the search bar in the top right hand corner of your GrabCAD screen (other than on this blog page) is your home for messages. It even lights up when you have unread messages in your mailbox! To send a message, you have two options:
1. Click on “Send Message”
directly in an engineers profile
2. Go to your inbox and click
, then enter the engineer’s GrabCAD username
Imagine that you’re an engineer with models that you’ve worked hard to create. You upload your models to GrabCAD, and you start receiving messages from other engineers. They congratulate you for your work, give advice and feedback, and offer to collaborate on future projects. Even better, imagine receiving a message from a company who, after reviewing your uploaded models, is looking for a freelance designer (or even a full time engineer). The new functionality of private messaging will make GrabCAD an even more powerful community for collaboration between engineers worldwide.
Every GrabCAD engineer received their first private message from Hardi or Indrek earlier this week!
We’re excited, and you should be too! Of course, with such a big introduction, we’re still making some adjustments behind the scene including ramping up our server capacity in an effort to make GrabCAD faster.
Start using this feature by messaging any GrabCAD engineer today! Message me or any of the other members of the GrabCAD team directly with feedback or advice. Enjoy!
Cheers,
Gabe
