Steampunk is now sweeping the nation appearing in movies such as Hugo and Sherlock Holmes, bestselling books on Amazon, and now has entered the world of GrabCAD Challenges.
Whether you love it or hate it, or even know what the term refers to, Steampunk is on the rise according to IBM's Social Sentiment Index, which predicts trends based off analysis of more than a half million message boards, blogs, social media and news sites.
This trend has caught on with Kyron, a 14 year old boy who has Muscular Dystrophy and lives in Florence, Massachusetts. Kyron has asked ModVic to Steampunk his Quantum Q6 Edge wheelchair. That's where you come in.
ModVic has asked the GrabCAD Community to brainstorm and submit their Steampunk modifications. Using the CAD model in the specifications, create a Steampunk version that a teenager would be happy to cruise around with friends. Making Kyron's wheelchair uniquely special will be a great icebreaker for him.
