GrabCAD is going to be coming up with some really amazing features for the Community. And we need your help to test them out. We want to do a little roll-playing - testing how Designers, Engineers and Manufacturers work collaborate on GrabCAD to craft better work. Keep reading for more details!
Today, we launched the "Gearing Up" Design Challenge. We want you to develop some sketches for a product for bikes and bicyclists. There are more details on the page. But from this challenge, we will select the best design and have you, the second place winner and a team of your choice craft that product. We will be providing some of the budget for prototyping, and you will receive the copy as well.
But Gabe and I will be documenting everything, and asking you about what's missing, what you liked and what could be done. Ultimately, we want to have data that we can share amongst ourselves and give you, the GrabCAD Community and all of our future clients a product that we can be truly proud of. We don't intend to sell the product, but we're going to be showing it off to everybody!
So take a look at the Challenge, pull out a pen and piece of paper and sketch that design you'd like to see, and post it. Don't do any CAD drawings - just simple sketches will be accepted. Our budget is limited - no anti-matter powered rocket bikes. We're going to be selecting based on creativity, on feasibility and how designing it will test our collaboration tools.
