The "Italics Award" Trophy Design Challenge was by far our fastest challenge. From start to finish it ran only one week, and wow did the community deliver - we received 58 submissions in only 3 days!
First prize of $500 went to Onur Aytekin for his stand-out submission, the 'I-Trophy'
Shawn commented, "Onur's I-Tropy embodies the spirit of the Italics award. The sharp rigidity represents the cutting edge of the future and the contrasting smooth polish represents each of the candidates polished backgrounds."
Second prize for a GrabCAD T-shirt went to Hussam Kamel and his glossy ebony black design, titled 'Italics Awards'.
We appreciated the classic styling and how Hussam took the requirements and made such a beautiful visualization. The ink well, feather and base are exactly what we were envisioning. This trophy represents the classy, glamorous and formal affair and would make a timeless award.
Congratulations to Gochat, Matthew Simon and Sudhir Gill for their honourable mentions. Everyone here was very impressed how many submissions we received in such a short time.
