This was a fun challenge. How appropriate that a social network like GrabCAD gets to work on designing a bracelet that augments ... social networking? Completely appropriate. Sean Eliseev, Director of Torvare and developer of the Amico Bracelet was blown away by the end results. 105 entries. None of them were bad. And all in 3 weeks! To everyone who submitted designs, give yourself a pat on the back. You deserve it.
Of course, winners have to be chosen. And the choice was not easy. But the first prize goes to trisd-1 for his Amico Bracelet!
In this design, the designer took our challenge a step further and incorporated a visual design that connects our product and idea. It is a very unique design solution that is simple, functional, and something a person could wear all the time. It is also easy to produce and assemble. This allows for lower manufacturing costs and a solid fashionable product meeting all our requirements.
Second prize goes to Luke Maselkowski for his Amico Bracelet Concept
This design is simple, sleek and clean. It has great a great way of protecting the USB port, and a very innovative closure. The logo becomes the focal point and even though this looks a bit watch like it still comes off as a clean fashionable product meeting all our requirements.
Third prize goes to Karl Bigwood for his Amico Silicone Bracelet
This was a well thought out design keeping the bracelet low profile by placing the battery next to the board. It is simple, yet fashionable and easily worn all the time. A little less on cost effective having an injection molded design, but meet all our requirements.
Fourth prize goes to Projectds (whatever is your real name, we can only guess!) for their Bracelet
The logo stands out so well in this design, and the renderings show such a beautiful product, along with meeting all the requirements for our components. It is simple, attractive, and effective product design.
And finally, the fifth prize goes to Yoav for his Bracelet-4 design
The incorporation of a line that lets the LED light to travel around the bracelet is very nice and unique. This design has captured the main idea of the highlighting the visibility of our product, while incorporating our requirements.
Our congratulations to the winners - you've produced some amazing work and you'll be receiving your prize money sometime soon. For everyone else that didn't win - there are plenty of challenges going on right now!
