The sanctions between Iran and the rest of the World over Iran's alleged Nuclear weapons program have come into full effect. As a result, it is illegal for us to send prize-money to anyone in Iran, a fact that we find pretty unfortunate.
But instead of letting it go to waste, Rostam took his $50 winning from the Dispensing Cap Challenge and asked for it to be donated to a charity involved with helping Americans affected by Hurricane Sandy. "I know that my money is very little but I wish that it can be a drop of water in an very big ocean. I wish to be useful for hurt people.....I wish one day all these problems have been end, and relation between our countries be good.".
We are GrabCAD are not interested in whether Iran or the United States or Israel is right or wrong, although we want them to work it out amicably. We at GrabCAD just want to make the World a better place for Engineers and Designers. To help them collaborate. And to help each other. And so when we hear about such a potent gesture of goodwill, that's pretty special. Thanks Rostam!
By the way, if anybody wishes to donate, do so right here with the Red Cross. Lots of people are still without power or water, nearly two weeks in. I'm sure they'd appreciate the support.
