Before you can make a single car, a single part, a single anything, you need the right tools. No I'm not talking about GrabCAD. I'm talking about Powertools. A CAD model of a powertool isn't much use when you need to drill a hole into something in the physical world. But say you're modeling the layout of a factory floor, and need a few pressdrills to make that opening rendering for your final presentation look perfect. Well, hit up GrabCAD.
Or say your name is Milivoje Zarkovic and you wanted say "Trust me, I'm an Engineer". This mixer attachment for the kitchen made us laugh a little. A shout out to Andreas Gkertsos for the Drill and Thanos for the Scissors.
Now onto serious matters. Here's a professionally designed DeWalt DWD 460 by GrabCAD Engineer JasonT. The render was done by GrabCADr JFGC1292. Nice job!
From the 'Looks-Real-But-It-Ain't' category we have a very well-done model of a Black&Decker Cordless Drillby Andreas Gkertsos, and a killer render by Arsen Ch.
Here's great exploded model of a drillpress by Antonio Auro Rabello, complete with a twin-drill piece. Could do with better renders - certainly deserves at least one. Download the .stp files and give it a render!
