Lite Plus has some great things to say about the entries for their battery design challenge and for the top-notch interactions they had with the GrabCAD Community. We saw some tough questions, beautiful designs, and lots of thoughtful work from our GrabCADrs!
1. Concept Tesla by Andreas Enebrand
Lite Plus liked the Nordic design influences and innovative shape (pictured above). Andreas described his battery case as "sport, premium, and simple." It definitely stayed true to the Lite Plus brand! The jury also valued the small amount of detailed features, which means lower costs for them in the pre-production phase. The Lite Plus team nicknamed this battery "The iPhone battery," for its clean look and smartphone icon-inspired shape.
Our team thanks everyone for their active participation. Our decision-making was a hard and painful process, thanks for that also:) Thank you everyone who was active in the Challenges forum space, helping each other out. You are a great community and exceeded our expectations from the first day to the very last day of the Lite Plus Challenge. - Jaak Ennuste, Lite Plus Battery CEO
2. Lite Plus Battery by Ishimoto
What a standout shape from Ishimoto! They nicknamed this battery "Krona battery" after the well-known Soviet 9v battery, now called 6LR61 or 1604A. We love the bright green accents and sleek, almost consumer battery inspired casing. It resembles the batteries you might get to go along with a new toy!
3. Lite + Pro-R by Steve Hansil
This battery shows-off the sporty, dynamic perception of enthusiastic performance driving. They nicknamed this one "The Fast and Furious battery." We think Vin Diesel would approve.
4. Lite Plus Battery Design Challenge Entry by Chester Lee Coloma
Chester created what the Lite Plus team nicknamed "The Mindbending battery." The optical illusion of the graphics make for a unique experience. Great job!
5. Lite Plus Battery Case Taranium by Alberto Sanches Garza
We love Alberto's inspiration for this one, a Greek god and sci-fi substance that gives energy. Perfect and so fierce! The Lite Plus team though it was very attractive, but too costly to produce.
6. Lite Plus Starter Battery by Martin Remiar
Martin submitted the very first entry. He set the tone for a great Challenge and Lite Plus loved that he made us shine in so many ways. Great design for a "spirited driving experience!"
Thank you to everyone who participated in this design Challenge and congratulations to the winners!
