Did you know that Solid Edge was one of the first CAD systems to allow users to publish directly to the GrabCAD public library? How about that Solid Edge was also one of the first to be able to publish to private Workbench projects? Want to know something else? Here are 10 resources Solid Edge users can use to improve your skills and productivity.
1. Solid Edge Community
Solid Edge users come together at the official Solid Edge Community to share information, connect with other users and Solid Edge employees. You’ll find a forum, a Q&A area, a Knowledge Base, and a blog. We’ve even got a dedicated area for developers.
2. Solid Edge Free Trial
If you’re shopping around for a CAD program, be sure to check out the free 45 day trial from Solid Edge. There’s nothing like getting your hands on Synchronous Technology – the next big thing in the CAD world.
3. Rent Solid Edge
You can rent various levels of Solid Edge on a monthly basis. There’s no minimum commitment or up-front cost. This is an excellent way to evaluate the software, expand your design capacity, or add a temporary tool to your arsenal.
4. Solid Edge University
This annual gathering of Edgers come together to teach and to learn. Dozens of sessions from employees and top tier users. Easy access to executives, product managers, developers, and more. SEU14 details have just been announced. Check it out!

6. What’s New in ST6

7. Solid Edge on YouTube

8. Solid Mastermind
Solid Mastermind makes 21st century Solid Edge learning easy and accessible with training through Dropbox, or mobile device. Convenience and expert instruction on every aspect of Solid Edge.
9. Solid Edge Learning Portal
Whether you’re new to CAD or you’ve used other 3D packages, the learning portal has tutorials meant for you. Narrated videos help you understand the steps to accomplish tasks.
10. On The Edge
For non-Solid Edge users who are curious about the software and want to talk with other non-users and learn more, we have the On the Edge blog outside of the usual formal Siemens PLM domain.
