While a number of challenges have finished, a new crop has appeared. Konecranes is offering $6,000 in prizes to develop a Chain Wear Indicator for their line of cranes. But unlike the a lot of the other challenges, there is ample time - 3 months!
Congrats to the winners of the 'Gearing Up' Challenge, especially Michael van der Bent for his entry, a Shopping Bag Carrier. Really interesting and useful idea with a huge number of avenues to explore in the design stage in GrabCAD Teams. A round of applause for Kira and his smart idea for an Automatic Tire Pump coming in second and the Hideaway Handlebar Storage Capsule by Jean-Marc Bennett. The final 4th and 5th prizes went to Antonio Carlos Babler's Roller Fan and Krzymanski Yann's Travel Case.
The CyDesign Challenges just finished yesterday as well - between the two challenges we received 87 entries of parts, pieces and bodies. Right now CyDesign is looking at everything and we should announce prizes soon. It doesn't look like we received enough entries in the Passenger Car Component Challenge to give out prizes in every category. But the Group B Rally Car Challenge? Fantastic stuff.
