I couldn't possibly post just 3 winning entries from the rendering competition with all those great screenshots from bunch of grabcadders. So I went through the models that got votes from our jury and picked a bunch because they're awesome :)
Let's kick off with my own 2 favorite shots from Nurk - water gate and water turbine. I like how the excellent shots turn the otherwise mundane objects into something much more.
Next up is one of our most active member Terry Stonehocker with his motorcycling related models. He's modeling (and actually building) both traditional cruisers and not so traditional (and darn sharp looking) trikes.
Remigiusz Krepczynski's model of a custom built Volkswagen Beetle with a crazy looking supercharged V8 engine is worth posting just for fun factor.
Getting away from vehicles into equally interesting world of case modding we find another "old timer" Scott Bruins with his Phobya case. Our designer Mikk would probably order one just for the aesthetic looks.
We've featured our weapon's models before and one of them made it into the final cut - Reimo Soosaar's silencer for vz.58 rifle.
Last but one is a transparent looking V8 engine from Rob Patterson who's our IronCAD guru from Australia.
I decided to finish this list with another great model from our winner Benjamin Garson. This Audi rim caused quite a stir in our office as we debated if it was a rendering or a photo. It's a rendered image, of course, but an expert use of KeyShot software by Benjamin.
Well done, everyone!
