GrabCAD wants to share knowledge and eliminate the barriers inherent in engineering! We have a solution. We're giving you the opportunity to make and upload video tutorials on how to use cool features on Solidworks! If contributing to a totally open network of engineers isn't enough incentive, if your submission is rated one of the top 10 most "It Worked" videos, you will receive $50 USD!
You can upload your short tutorials in search of prize money, or you can upload knowing that you're contributing to the thousands of engineers who will learn neat tricks and skills from the tutorials your post! We're super excited to see the results of this competition! Here's an example 2:25 long video from GrabCAD engineer Marcus (feel free to use sound if you want though!):
The content of your tutorial can be anything and any length starting from a useful button all the way to the most efficient way of modeling Fokker F50 propeller (just an example). The question should be asked in our Q&A and clearly answered step by step with tutorial.
We truly believe this will help our engineers to work more efficiently and get things done in shorter periods of time. It is also fun to see how different people work and learn something from each other.
So give it a whirl- share your knowledge and see how many engineers find it useful! GrabCAD will announce similar challenges with all the major CAD software to make sure all of us can give something useful to each other, but for this moment we're limiting the competition to Solidworks.
