GrabCAD is growing very quickly, and we couldn't be more excited. Unfortunately, such rapid growth has negative side effects as we scale our backend to keep up with the growing demands. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.
Each day over a thousand engineers join GrabCAD and hundreds of models are uploaded. We're scaling our systems to accommodate this explosion of data, but occasionally load times are really slow, and sometimes the connection even times out. Here's what we're doing specifically:
- A month ago we hired a system administrator Enrico to improve things on a server side.
- We now have someone working solely to improve the code-base to make it faster.
- By the end of April, two really great and experienced technical people will join the team who will be work through the scaling issues.
Our vision is to make GrabCAD as fluid and problem-free as possible so we're dedicating a lot of our time to that! We ask for your patience as we resolve these issues and speed up the community.
