At first glance, this seems like an uninteresting challenge. We couldn't disagree more. Sunstar manufactures electric motors that can be attached directly to the crankshaft of a bike to power it. The problem is that they haven't perfected a fixture for the motor unit to be attached to any bike frame. There's more - the clock on this challenge isn't quite ticking yet - more after the jump.
For one week, the clock will not be ticking on this challenge. GrabCADrs are invited to pose their questions about the rules, description and expectations of the winning entry on the challenge page. After some lively discussion in the comments section and the necessary adjustments, the hope is that everyone will have a clear understanding of what needs to be done. In the past there have been some misunderstandings over what's described - this time nobody is going to be confused!
Moving on - take a look at the description on the challenge page, read up on what Sunstar's products and their problem and drop any concerns or queries on the comments below. This is a really interesting problem with a number of potential solutions - be creative and feel free to collaborate. We have a number of great prizes, including $1000 as well as a Sunstar SO3 for first prize! Go for it -and good luck!
