Time once again for our weekly wrap up of incredible models from the GrabCAD community! We're delighted to have William Barclay, one of our PowerGrabbers and best commentators out there! He's found some tasty tidbits of 3D model quality and uniqueness you'll only find here. Hit it!
This very detailed and precision Gorgon Beam Engine (STEP) model produced with Inventor was uploaded by Tony Davies and has a fantastic little video of it in working motion. This engine is truly old school engineering at its best!
Alfredo Gallozzi! Zap, Pow, Bang! This model made with Rhino and also available in Step. This old time favorite cartoon hero none other than Spider Man is well worth a visit along with the rest of Alfredo wonderful models. Hmmmm now what about some Villains?
Arctic rescue vehicle (SolidWorks 2011) featuring a archimedes screw drive propulsion system is modeled by Scott C was an old University project that he decided to redo. The function of his model is very interesting but I wouldn’t recommend one for every day use, unless you're an Eskimo!
Gregory Piol - model of a Fun rider (( fun rider from HELL )) produced with SolidWorks 2011 is just another fantastic contribution to GrabCAD. Gregory's profile is definitely worth a look along with the fine array of other off the wall bikes designs.
Mateusz Kliber's model of Fsm syrena 105 is available in 2 versions SolidWorks and STEP. This little eye catcher is a Polish car and it definitely has got the Vroom, Vrooom, Vrooom to it. Another fine model from the man himself. He is becoming one of GrabCAD's exceptional car modellers and with the quality of his renders to back it up his profile can’t be missed.
Contemporary ice cream shop (Google SketchUp) is modelled by Emdee. This awesome model looks as if it is right out a Hollywood block buster movie. If only ever ice cream shop looked as good as this one. Why not look at the other interesting models that are available on her profile all done with Google SketchUp.
A little bit on the ghoulish side but can’t be missed. This model of a cemetery Obelisk (SolidWork/STEP) was created by Kir Ari, one of GrabCAD's legends, known for his wicked model designs and awesome rendering skills. Stop by and let him know what you think of his work!
Carcoma modelled this very interesting and forward thinking, outside the box concept of a computer box (SolidWorks 2011). Now this is the way forward for more pleasant and pleasing to look at computers for the not too distant future I hope. Who said computers can’t be works of art.
Greg Green's model of a Beamer stirling engine (SolidWorks 2010) from Jan Ridders design just can’t be missed. This little engine is a work of art from the old school engineering world. It still amazes me today how some of these little engines function.
This model of a train carriage (SolidWorks 2010) by Aslan Khani is just outstanding work with awesome leave of detail within the model boasting over 1300 parts. How about a train Engine to go with it now? Anyone?
This wraps up another amazing look at GrabCAD user's models over the past week! There are simply so many, please be sure to hit the library and like your favorites as well! As always, remember it's nice to upload a STEP or IGES so other with your particular CAD package can download, view and render your model. Thanks everyone! Until next week!
