Another week, another wide spectrum of models to choose from. This week's theme turned out to be moto and housing.
There are several gearboxes in the Library already. But you can't have too many, so Andrey's latest addition spices up the list again.
Rotacaster omniwheel / fazzlil
Has anyone heard of holonomic drive vehicles? Often used in robots for moving towards different directions and turning faster, this model by Fazzlil is a good example pre and post printing.
Moving on to robots, according to xristos, these little fingers are only a part of a bigger project, fitting in to the already impressive selection of GrabCAD robots.
Fan assembly / Tomasz Nicinski
Something industrial as well - a classic fan assembly.
Oh yes. Who would not want this in their back yard to load the booth with surf boards, kites, fishing equipment etc. At least you now can download the CAD model.
This model was actually created to test out the 3D printing capabilities. But it makes a cool screensaver as well!
I've often thought that just the CAD models do not do justice to some of the things people come up with. This a perfect example of such a model. The incredibly cool renderings make it absolute stand-out. Why not try your rendering skills and add your version of the Kydon? Stelu Harsan also shows CATIA is THE software for automotive.
After a long day of work and sketching, fish and chips or even a pint in some English style pub sounds unmissable. John has done a good job miniaturizing the country style and coming up with a house, even if only for a theme park.
We have a few guitars and drums already, a big thumbs up for harmonium, too. A GrabCAD T-shirt series with musical instruments sounds cool, doesn't it? Who's up modelling the next saxophone? Flute? Trombone?
If one imagined a typical family homes next to the famous Burj Al Arab hotel, this would come very close.
Velocette venom thruxton 50cc motorcycle engine (rendering by Robert Voogt)/ zerothree
And let's finish the models of the week off with the moto theme again. Zerothree has added an absolutely kicking version of a motorcycle engine to the ever growing collection over here. This is a rather nice model for some rendering magic, again.
Thanks for the people for the weekly winning uploads!
