The selection of most interesting models uploaded this week comes from Danny Tasmakis who can model anything you put in front of him. Take a look at the models from the incredible GrabCAD community that he's come across this week.
Can’t get away? just download this highly detailed model of the Eiffel tower (Solidworks 2010) and have a taste of Paris. Another fine example of Pranav Panchal's work.
Here we have a beautifully styled Lancome perfume bottle (STEP) by Sylvain Gerber this will surely impress the ladies and is complimented by a top notch render as well.
Next also nose related ;) is a nice looking Water closet by Al trice ....well, we already have a kitchen sink so why not! download the Alibre Design or Solidworks version and pop it in your next Architectural model, every building needs one.
Crack open a cold one, fishing rod in hand and take Ned Kralev's awesome model and render of a Catamaran (Solidworks 2011) for a spin around your computer generated lake, or you could try and build it for real...now that’ll be something!
Why not take Orosz Balazs' awesome detailed model of a Railway bogie and design your own passenger cars and engine, you’ll have your own virtual train set...........ALL ABOARD! Available in both Solidworks 2009 and STEP.
Here’s a little beauty, the Fizz-whizz, batteries not included, as a matter of fact it doesn’t need batteries it runs off steam, this cute little toy car by Dan Novak was modelled off the plan, (included as pdf) the model is available in Solidworks 2011 as well as STEP format.
Newcomer Andrey Chernorot entered Grabcad with this fantastic concept vehicle City car (STEP) which was entered into the Peugeot Design Contest 2008, I dig the futuristic styling and the unobstructed view for the driver.
Winter is coming closer for some of the guys here at Grabcad so why not prepare yourself, download and start building yourself a fine example of a Hydraulic log splitter (Solidworks 2011) by Scott C. You can get rid of that rusty ol’ axe and split those logs (or anything else you find in the backyard) with this baby!
If you’re into printing your own money, not that I recommend it, you’ll need this Print module 2 colors (printing press) by Cad Meca modelled in Autodesk Inventor 2012 also available in STEP format.....I wonder if Frank Abagnale would join Grabcad if he saw this ;)
This one I liked because it involves kids and oral hygiene, which is like mixing oil and water but maybe Onur's model of a Lovely toothbrush holder will entice the little rascals to do the right thing when they see their shabby little toothbrush held by Garfield, this model is available in 3d print ready STL as well as STEP format.
As always, if you need a model in another format, just leave a comment asking the uploader for a neutral format (step, iges, etc.) What were your favorites this week?
