You might have noticed some changes lately to the Engineers page on the GrabCAD Community.
As a thriving online Community of almost 4 million engineers, designers, manufacturers, and students sharing design ideas and inspiration, we know that one of GrabCAD’s biggest draws is the ability to interact and engage with other members.
That’s why we’ve improved our Engineers page to make it easier than ever to follow others, show off your best work, and keep track of what your favorite members of the Community have been up to!
The new page has a far more modern design and now has a scalable look that works great on mobile devices. Additionally, we wanted to rethink what matters most to our members when it comes to saying “who we are” to other members of the Community. Based on this, we’ve made it easier to showcase your area(s) of expertise and display your top models right from the search results on the Engineers page. This will help bring together members in similar fields and bring more attention to your most popular work on GrabCAD, while also making it easier for you to find members with similar areas of interest, and other members to find you based on your own great work.
We’ve also added new and more powerful filter options. One will showcase the most active Community members for that week, month, or over the life of GrabCAD, so you can better track who’s doing what and how active other members are. Another new filter will bring more exposure to those with the most followers. You can also now filter and search for other members based on their areas of expertise, location, and software knowledge.
A new Follow button attached to your profile on the Engineers page also makes it easier for other members to follow you, and we’ve also more prominently displayed your GrabCAD score and the numbers of followers you currently have.
We hope you enjoy these latest improvements to the GrabCAD Community, and we value your feedback as we continue to refine and enhancement the user experience for all members. Any suggestions on potential Community updates or enhancements can be sent to: problem-solvers@grabcad.com.
